Cengage Unlimited Continues Saving Students Millions
When it comes to saving money in college, Cengage Unlimited is at the crux of success.
Since August of 2018, students have saved over $125 million using the unlimited-use-subscription service for ebooks, online homework access codes and study guides.
According to a recent press release, savings don’t even end there. There is an estimated $160 million in savings by the end of the current academic year.
According to Jacob Huling, Cengage Ambassador and student at the University of Houston, “It’s essential to save every dime you can, and by using Cengage Unlimited, I saved nearly $120 last semester. That’s close to the same amount I’ve paid for a single access code before. I think Cengage Unlimited’s impact on the University of Houston has been incredible, and I’m glad people are saving money.”
Tuition is expensive enough for students, but the additional cost of textbooks and other course materials are leaving large financial burdens on the average student. With a $119.99 per semester subscription with Cengage, students have access to over 22,000 products for a single price, helping them to save money and focus on their living expenses instead of textbooks.
Schools such as the University of Alabama have seen over $1.8M in savings, Texas A&M University has seen over $1.7M in savings and North Carolina State University has seen over $1.1M in savings. In addition, the University of Illinois saves an average of $256/student and the University of Connecticut saves $179/student.
According to Michael E. Hansen, CEO of Cengage, “The college affordability crisis is impacting students and colleges across the country. It’s clear the entire ecosystem must pursue innovation to deliver students more value for their money. That’s why we created Cengage Unlimited: to offer students affordable access to quality learning materials and other resources needed to excel in their studies, graduate and find a job. The number of subscribers and savings to date shows that Cengage Unlimited is making a real difference for them.”
